Student Influencers
This is a 3-credit internship opportunity offered under the supervision of the Social Media Director in collaboration with the College of Communication and Media for students in the Social Media and Public Relations major.
Student influencers take control of an official Montclair State University ambassador Instagram account. These accounts each offer a specific window into life at Montclair intended to encourage prospective students to apply or to get current students more engaged with campus life.
Work directly with the University’s Social Media Director learning best content creation practices, how to set trends with original ideas and how to manage the day-to-day operations of a brand-adjacent social media account.

Student Vloggers
This is a 3-credit internship opportunity offered under the supervision of the University’s Social Media Director in collaboration with the College of Communication and Media for students in the Social Media and Public Relations major.
Student vloggers showcase their day-to-day lives as current Montclair students through engaging medium-length video content that encourages current students to get more involved on campus and the surrounding off-campus environment, and gives prospective students a chance to imagine what their lives would be like as a Montclair student.
This internship program empowers students working towards a similar career path in social media while giving them an share their authentic experiences in college. Students will learn valuable skills in content creation, management, and digital storytelling.
Apply For the Team
We accept new applications at the end of each academic year for both Social Media Interns and Student Vloggers, with announcements going out over the University’s main social media accounts and on Handshake. Follow Montclair State University on Instagram and keep an eye out starting in May.
